Tw in Lights • These twin lighthouses are located on Rockport’s Thacher Island. They were erected in 1771 to protect ships from the treacherous waters surrounding Cape Ann. They were rebuilt in 1861 and are commonly referred to as the twin lights; today, they are recognized as National Historic Landmarks.
