      This book, originally published "in slightly different form," tells the traditional story of the lively cookie that safely escapes an old woman, her husband, a cow, and bear only to be eaten by a "wily red fox." The retelling is unremarkable, but the old-fashioned illustrations ably capture the story's drama.
